Installation instructions

Commands are project-specific notes. Confirm prerequisites and linked upstream instructions for your own release and system. Do not run administrative commands without review.

Linux / macOS shell

Install a Spack package

Prerequisites: Git and a supported compiler toolchain; confirm cluster build policy first

git clone --depth=2 https://github.com/spack/spack.git
cd spack
source share/spack/setup-env.sh
spack install libelf

Clones Spack and uses its documented example to build libelf. Package builds consume disk and compiler resources.

Verify: spack find libelf

Review: Use an approved prefix and compiler configuration on shared systems. Do not build packages on a production service host without authorization.
